Over the course of four years, I partnered with Pax Corrugated to create display graphics for Kroger and Safeway grocery stores. These fun and attention-getting graphics were used to promote seasonal and holiday publications in the book aisle. Both stock photography/illustrations and my own illustrations were used to create the graphics. The body of the display was typically the same from holiday to holiday, so the graphics used on the header panel and side panels were used to differentiate the displays from year to year. The theme changes for each season/holiday, but all of the displays featured books. Many of the books were sold as promotions, therefore, the 25% off “sticker” was on the majority of the displays. During my time with Pax Corrugated, I created over 30 displays promoting books ranging from health & wellness to various holidays to adult coloring books and puzzles. Books to Read in the Dark
A classic. Who doesn’t love reading a good scary story in the dark under the covers? Combining the photo and the illustration adds an extra layer of surrealism.
Best Reads
The client wanted a display that featured classic book imagery combined with famous book quotes. The display featured quotes from Dr. Suess, CS Lewis, Charles William Eliot and Helen Exley.
Fall Classics
As students head back to school, stores transform to promote educational books and school stories. The display held children’s books on one side and adults books on the other so it needed to appeal to both audiences.
Hop Into a Good Book
Cute easter and spring graphics, books and pastel colors combine to create a lovely seasonal display.
